Hi! I am a Product Designer in San Francisco and currently lead Creative Direction for Kongregate.com. I firmly believe in the balance between form and function in design and am dedicated in building standards compliant HTML/CSS in all of my projects.
After graduating from the UC Berkeley with a Linguistics degree, I realized that I was having more fun creating websites as side projects, and joined Altrue, a Content Management System software company for nonprofits. After a couple years building custom sites for Altrue's clients, I moved onto managing web production and email marketing campaigns for Gump's retail website, where I met Emily Greer, who would become one of Kongregate's founders. A year later, I made the easy decision to join Emily and her brother Jim at their new company as User Interface Designer in 2007, seeing Kongregate's great potential as a truly innovative and addicting games website.
Now in my Creative Director role at Kongregate, I oversee all aspects of design on the site, including conceptualizing and defining visual design for both web and mobile, improving user interaction, hand-coding clean HTML/CSS, and creating different variants for A/B split testing. I'm also heavily involved in all product development on our site. In July 2010, Kongregate was acquired by the Fortune 300 gaming retailer, Gamestop.
In my spare time, I enjoy running around with my dog Cooper, eating brunch on a sunny day, playing softball, and traveling.
